BUYERS
- 1. Do some target marketing.
- 2. Draw up a profile on your "optimum" acquisition.
- 3. Analyze the rationale for buying (another) book retailer. What are you really trying to accomplish" Could it be accomplished in a different way?
- 4. Be humble and be polite. People do not sell their companies to people that they do not like.
- 5. Get your financing together before you go shopping. Don't count on vague promises from financiers to back you in an acquisition. Do not presume seller financing in any deal.
